In a communique issued on Sunday, the Peace Community organised by the Hungarian Social Forum – Social Roundtable hailed the upholding in Brussels of Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban for the peaceful solution of the ukranian crisis, against the anti-Russia EU policy of sanctions. We are glad that PM made own the interest and will of Peace of the hungarian civic society, and has expressed to his allied Hungary’s disegreement with the sanction policy against Russia, as not serving the political solution. Peace Community has asked Orban to be coherent, and not to give the name of Hungary to the new EU sanctions planned within a week. It would be important if the hungarian government also marked the content of the political solution, namely if he supported the February 21 agreement signed by the ukranian sides on  the creation of a national unity government and the guarantee without conditions of equal rights to all national minorities living in Ukraine. At the opinion of hungarian Peace Community the overwhelming majority of the hungarian people support, that Hungary be not involved in a conflict between East and West, country not remained between two fires by authorising the presence in Hungary of foreign NATO troops, and conflict be not sharpened with new anti-russian sanctions. Hungary must not assure hinterland to NATO military support of Kiev leadership. The communique difines as national interest of Hungary the good relationship with Russia. „We can achieve by correct policy the withdrawal of russian ban on the import of hungarian food and send more products than before to a market traditionally laying claim to our commodities. With a correct policy it is possible to achieve also a special friendly price of the gaz by the way of the South Current gazline” – communique of the Peace Community is writing.
